Humble biscuit dough is filled with cinnamon, sugar and chopped raisins and then rolled up into a jellyroll. The dough is then sliced to make a quick bread cinnamon roll.

  • 4 teaspoons (18 grams) baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons (9 grams) shortening
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) milk

  • 1/3 cup (70 grams) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (7.8 grams) cinnamon

    Place sliced dough just barely touching on a shallow baking sheet.

    Bake at 425 to 450 degrees F (220 to 230 C) until golden, about 20 minutes.
